My Philosophy

Why Coach With Me?

You’re not like any other person on the planet and I’m not like any other life coach. We all have our own philosophies and way of doing things. I believe people come into our lives for a reason. And that the greatest, most exciting things happen when two compatible people meet and truly recognize each other. So, here’s my philosophy. You can decide if I’m the right coach for you.

I believe that compassion is as powerful as passion.
You might think your dreams are pie-in-the-sky. You might feel embarrassed about sharing your heart’s desire with your family and friends. People may have made fun of your ideas. The first step in believing in your dream is a belief in yourself. I am your safe space to learn how to do that. I don’t confront, I don’t criticize and I don’t judge.

I believe that humor is the best part of humanity.
Life is serious business, but the way you play it doesn’t have to be. Humor brings perspective to everything it touches. It disarms problems that could otherwise be painful — that’s why I use it so much. Clients consistently tell me that my humor lightens the load. Through laughter, we make the journey enjoyable, achievable and fun. There’s a reason it’s called life’s best medicine!

I believe in change from the inside-out.
We are far more than what we can see and feel. Our unconscious beliefs, emotions and thoughts can have an incredibly disruptive effect on our potential if we let them. (It’s why the road to hell is paved with good intentions.) My work is to tap into harmful feelings and teach you how to dislodge them so they aren’t running your life anymore. I believe that the deeper you connect with your own power and understand what a tremendous resource you have within yourself, the faster you engage with the world in a way that truly makes sense.

I believe that you have to live it before you can deliver it.
Like you, I’ve been through a lot of life — bereavement, addiction, unexpected family tragedies, the disappointments that can damage your life force. You can read my story here. Through therapy, 12-step recovery and personal development, I’ve come to recognize my life’s work — as a coach. I promise that I will not try any techniques with you that I haven’t already tried on myself.

But I won’t pretend my life is perfectly figured out.
It’s not.

Now is the time.
