Taking Care of Yourself


And this is the God Honest Truth! A tired brain leads us directly into the survival part of our beautiful noggin. It makes sense - when we are tired, we are not at our best and need to rely on more primitive brain functions. There is an acronym H.A.L.T. that is helpful for these times. Before freaking out with quick draw reactions, or a bummed-out response that has no semblance of gift or opportunity, ask yourself these questions: "Am I hungry, angry, lonely, or tired"? If you can answer yes to one of those, try taking care of yourself by eating, letting off some steam, talking to a friend or taking a nap.
